The lager Red Stripe (4,7 % vol.) was born in Jamaica more than 60 years ago and it is produced under license by Charles Wells in United Kingdom since 1976, using leaven and hops imported from Yakima Valley in Washington State. It's a soft and velvet beer, that is different from all the other european lager ones. Thanks to its attracting trademark, that you can see on bottles, tins and pubs accross the whole Europe, it's nowadays very diffused in all the Continent.
